1. Definitions
In these Terms:
- "Nordedissa," "we," "us," or "our" refers to Nordedissa Car Rentals.
- "Customer," "you," or "your" refers to the individual or entity that rents a vehicle from Nordedissa or uses our website.
- "Rental Agreement" refers to the specific agreement governing your vehicle rental, which incorporates these Terms by reference.
- "Vehicle" refers to the car, SUV, van, or other automobile that you rent from us, including all parts, accessories, and documents.
- "Rental Period" refers to the duration for which you rent a Vehicle, as specified in your Rental Agreement.
2. Eligibility and Requirements
2.1 Driver Eligibility
To rent a Vehicle from Nordedissa, you must:
- Be at least 23 years of age (higher age requirements may apply for certain vehicle categories)
- Possess a valid driver's license held for at least one year
- Present a valid credit card in your name for the security deposit
- Meet our insurance requirements
2.2 Required Documents
You must provide the following documents at the time of vehicle pickup:
- Valid driver's license
- Passport or national ID (for international customers)
- Proof of address (for certain vehicle categories)
- International Driving Permit (IDP) if your license is not in English
- Valid credit card for security deposit
3. Reservations and Payments
3.1 Reservations
Reservations can be made through our website, by phone, email, or in person at our locations. A reservation is confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation from us. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion.
3.2 Rates and Charges
Our rental rates include:
- Basic daily/weekly/monthly rental fee
- Standard insurance coverage as specified in your Rental Agreement
- Maintenance and roadside assistance
Additional charges may apply for:
- Additional drivers
- Premium insurance options
- Fuel (if vehicle is not returned with the same fuel level)
- Late returns
- Tolls, fines, and traffic violations
- Damage to the Vehicle not covered by insurance
- Cleaning fees (if Vehicle is returned excessively dirty)
- Early return fees
3.3 Payment Terms
Payment is required at the time of vehicle pickup or as specified in your reservation confirmation. We accept major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and JCB. A security deposit will be authorized on your credit card and released upon satisfactory return of the Vehicle.
3.4 Cancellations and Modifications
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before pickup: full refund
- Cancellations made 24-48 hours before pickup: 50% refund
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup: no refund
Reservation modifications are subject to vehicle availability and may result in rate adjustments.
4. Vehicle Pickup and Return
4.1 Vehicle Pickup
At the time of pickup:
- You must present all required documents
- You will inspect the Vehicle with our representative and acknowledge its condition
- You will receive a brief orientation about the Vehicle's features
- You will sign the Rental Agreement
4.2 Vehicle Return
You must return the Vehicle:
- On or before the date and time specified in your Rental Agreement
- To the location specified in your Rental Agreement
- In the same condition as when it was rented, except for normal wear and tear
- With the same level of fuel as when it was picked up
Late returns will incur additional charges. If you wish to extend your rental period, you must contact us before the expiration of your current rental period.
5. Customer Responsibilities
5.1 Vehicle Use
You agree to:
- Only allow authorized drivers listed in the Rental Agreement to operate the Vehicle
- Use the Vehicle only for lawful purposes
- Not use the Vehicle for racing, testing, or teaching someone to drive
- Not use the Vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs your ability to drive
- Not use the Vehicle to transport hazardous materials
- Not use the Vehicle for commercial purposes unless specifically authorized
- Not remove the Vehicle from Singapore without our prior written consent
5.2 Care and Maintenance
You are responsible for:
- Securing the Vehicle when not in use
- Checking oil, water, and tire pressure regularly for rentals longer than one week
- Immediately reporting any warning lights or unusual sounds
- Immediately reporting any damage, theft, or mechanical problems
5.3 Accidents and Incidents
In case of an accident, theft, or damage to the Vehicle, you must:
- Immediately inform the police if required by law
- Notify us as soon as possible
- Not admit liability or fault
- Obtain names, addresses, and contact information of all involved parties and witnesses
- Complete an accident report
6. Insurance and Liability
6.1 Insurance Coverage
Basic insurance coverage included with your rental provides:
- Third-party liability insurance as required by Singapore law
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with specified excess amount
- Theft Protection with specified excess amount
Optional additional coverage is available for an extra fee.
6.2 Customer Liability
You are liable for:
- Damage not covered by insurance or in violation of the Rental Agreement
- The specified excess amount in case of damage or theft
- Full cost of damage if resulting from prohibited uses
- Traffic violations, tolls, and parking tickets incurred during the Rental Period
- Administrative fees for processing fines or penalties
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nordedissa is not liable for:
- Indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of profit, revenue, or business opportunity
- Personal items left in the Vehicle
- Technical failures or mechanical breakdowns not resulting from our negligence
- Any damages exceeding the total amount paid for your rental
8. Website Use
8.1 Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Nordedissa or our content suppliers and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our express permission.
8.2 User Conduct
When using our website, you agree not to:
- Use it for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Introduce viruses, trojans, or other harmful material
- Interfere with the proper working of the website
9. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate your Rental Agreement and repossess the Vehicle immediately if:
- You breach any term of the Rental Agreement or these Terms
- You provided false information in your application
- The Vehicle is used in a prohibited manner
- The Vehicle is abandoned
- It appears that you will not return the Vehicle on time
10. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation between parties
- If negotiation fails, mediation under the rules of the Singapore Mediation Centre
- If mediation fails, binding arbitration under the rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre
11. Governing Law
These Terms and your Rental Agreement are governed by the laws of Singapore. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore for any dispute resolution.
12. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
